The genius utilized the power of levers and other forms of micro technology to change from one particular feature in the watch to another. This in turn introduced a new phase in Swiss watch making, and eventually, other watchmakers followed suit, devising their own ways in making the rotational movement of traditional watches something that can be left behind for something more easy and usable. In the year 1851, the genius LeCoultre was awarded by an award giving body in London for his efforts at mechanizing completely watches in the Swiss area.

Upon the entry of the industrial era, the Manufacture was born, with the need to make the mechanized process of production something that could be controlled in a precise manner, so that quality of the time pieces would be maintained, and the name would stand the test of time and the test of market crashes and demands. Jaeger-LeCoultre would be one of the most notable companies who had made sure that people would see the indelible relation between the work of the human hand, the touch of the human mind, and the helpful assistance of man-made machines.

Jaeger-LeCoultre produced for many of the well known names in the global industry. From the year 1902 onwards, Jaeger-LeCoultre would be producing a significant number of blanks for Patek Philippe, also a well known name in watches throughout the world, which is based in Geneva.

In the year 1903, another pioneer by the name of Edmond Jaeger was able to come together with LeCoultre to form the name that we now know and love. LeCoultre provided the manufacturing genius and power to bring Jaeger’s designs to life. This relationship led to the contract between Cartier and LeCoultre, and LeCoultre would be responsible for many of the well-loved bands and time pieces under the name of Cartier.

Presently, Jaeger-LeCoultre enjoys many awards for innovations and other related endeavors, and enjoys also a strong, worldwide following.
